2020 Home Goals

This post was inspired by Stacey Risenmay's post on Not Just a Housewife.

I always have a list going so I'm surprised I never thought to blog about this!

Goals for this year:

Front

- driveway doesn't look great but could be worse. I had thought about doing something environmentally conscious when we eventually do it.
- carport - could use some shelves for the recycling bins perhaps. [garbage hut build by DH]
- Need a way to store bikes in the summer. I should investigate what an actual bike rack would cost. [bike rack purchased, $116.99  from Walmart]
- roof [done]
- eaves

Back

- patio stones need levelling, especially on the step
- garden - plant more vegetables in Spring [done]
- roof [done]
- eaves

Upstairs

- bathroom: Clean bathroom fan
- kitchen: sand wall and paint it, already bought the paint [done]
- living room
- hallways: wash walls top to bottom and retouch paint; paint ceilings, paint already bought

Downstairs

- stairwell: clean and paint
- playroom: retouch paint
- bathroom: clean bathroom fan; repaint, already bought paint
- laundry room: spackle, sand, prime, paint, ceiling
- my office: reduce items on shelves so there isn't overflow on floor [done]
Get furnace serviced?

Word for 2020: Joyful

Every year I ask God for a word to focus on for the upcoming year. This year I feel like my word is to be JOYFUL.

I'm taking it from this verse in Romans 12:12 (NIV):  Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
I want to focus on being positive and bring joy to my work and home. Joy because it's a state of mind, rather than happiness which is based on a feeling.
